Novelty Shop

The Novelty Shop will be stocked with all kinds of fun and tasty treats for you to purchase with your tickets or cash!  We have limited quantities of each item so get there early!  Here is a sampling of some of the things you could buy:

We will have a ticket pre-sale from February 6-17.  Look for the printed carnival info packet to come home in your child's backpack.  During the pre-sale, ticket prices will be as follows:


1 ticket                 $.50
12 tickets             $5.00     ($.42 each)
25 tickets             $10.00   ($.40 each)
55 tickets             $20.00   ($.36 each)  BEST VALUE!
Wristband            $6.00     (Unlimited use of rock wall and bouncers)
Meal Ticket          $5.00     (Two slices of Barro’s pizza and a drink)
                            $5.00     (Mi Amigo’s bean burrito, rice and a drink)
The night of the carnival, tickets will be $.50 each, meal tickets $6.00 each, and wristbands $7.00 each.  Order early and save!

Ticket Giveaway

We are giving away carnival tickets!  The first place winner will receive 50 tickets, second place will receive 20 tickets and third place will receive two wristbands.  There are three ways to enter. Do all three and you'll receive three separate entries and increase your chances to win!

1. Leave us a comment with your child's first name, last name initial and room number.

2. Become a follower of the PTO blog (click on the "Join this site" button on the sidebar).  If you're already a follower you'll automatically receive an entry.

3. Volunteer to work a one-hour shift at the carnival or let us borrow your EZ-up canopy or camping lantern.  Send us an email at hermosavistapto@gmail.com and let us know what you can contribute. (If you've already volunteered and you leave us a comment we will automatically give you an extra entry.)

Winners will be determined by a random drawing on Monday, February 20th.  Good luck!!

Carnival Food

This year we have two delicious meal options:

Barro's Pizza--two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a drink
Mi Amigo's Mexican food--bean burrito, rice and a drink

Each meal can be purchased with a meal ticket.  If you pre-order your meal ticket the cost will be $5.00 per meal.  The meal tickets will each be $6.00 if purchased the night of the carnival.

In addition to meals we will have a variety of other food for you to buy:

Popcorn--1 ticket
Cotton candy--1 ticket
Drinks--1 ticket
Krispy Kreme Donut--2 tickets or $1

In addition to the game booths we will have a variety of fun activities.  You can preview some of these below.  Each of the bouncers will cost 2 tickets each or you can purchase a wristband for unlimited access all night.

Winter Carnival 2012

Our Winter Carnival is scheduled for Friday, February 24th from 5:00-8:30 p.m.  We have tons of fun and exciting things planned for this year.  Mark your calendars, invite your family and friends, and plan to attend!

Want to help with the carnival?  There are lots of ways you can help us make this a great event.  We will need lots of volunteers leading up to and the night of the event.  If you are interested in joining our committee or working a one-hour shift at the carnival leave us a comment and we'll sign you up!  We are also currently looking for individuals/businesses interested in sponsoring a booth at the carnival in exchange for advertising in the carnival program, here on the blog, and at the event.  Sponsor levels start at $50.  In addition, we are looking for  any business interested in donating an item/service for our silent auction.
